How We Ship

Shipping charges (per recipient)
Shipping charges are calculated on the package weight and destination for each recipient, prior to any discounts. Unless otherwise arranged we use UPS.

Freshness/Product Care
All of our products are baked fresh for each order. All items are baked, packaged and shipped in the same day. All of our products are guaranteed fresh for eight (8) days from the shipping date. As there are no preservatives added to our products we suggest you arrange for shipping that will take no more than three (3) days. When you receive your product keep it wrapped until you are ready to enjoy...or put in the freezer for up to one (1) month of additional freshness.

Shipping methods and deadlines
Ground Shipping
All orders placed by 11:59 p.m. EST can be processed the following business day and can ship out to arrive within 7 business days. Shipping dates are automatically calculated based on desired arrival date and recipient's shipping address. You may select future arrival dates on all orders.
UPS Ground shipping delivery dates are estimated, based on the map below. Depending on the day of the week you place your order, you can usually expect the following:
  • NY Tri State delivery: within 1-2 business days
  • New England delivery: within 2-3 business days
  • East/South delivery: within 2-3 business days
  • Midwest delivery: within 3-4 business days
  • Southwest delivery: within 4-5 business days
  • West coast delivery: within 4-5 business days
  • Alaska/Hawaii delivery: within 5-6 business days

3rd Day Air Delivery
All orders placed by 11:59 p.m. EST can be processed the following business day and delivered 3 business days from that date. For example,

  • Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 p.m can ship Monday to be delivered Thursday.
  • Orders placed on Monday can ship Tuesday to be delivered Friday.

2nd Day Air Delivery
All orders placed by 11:59 p.m. EST can be processed the following business day and delivered 2 business days from that date. For example,

  • Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 p.m can ship Monday to be delivered Wednesday.
  • Orders placed on Monday can ship Tuesday to be delivered Thursday.
  • Orders placed on Thursday can ship Friday to be delivered Tuesday.

Next Day Air Delivery
All orders placed by 11:59 p.m. EST can be processed the following business day and delivered the next business day after that. For example,

  • Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 p.m can ship Monday to be delivered Tuesday.
  • Orders placed on Monday can ship Tuesday to be delivered Wednesday.
  • Orders placed on Thursday can ship Friday to be delivered on Monday.
    Alternately, you may specify an exact arrival date when placing an order. Dancing Deer will ensure that your goodies are baked and shipped in time to arrive by your chosen date.

Saturday Delivery
UPS delivers M-F and does NOT consider Saturday or Sunday to be standard delivery days. As such, Saturday delivery is only available in certain areas and requires an additional shipping cost. Please contact us at 516 889-4101 to find out more details!

Shipping FAQs
Send Them Cookies ships all of our packages via UPS from our bakery in Island Park, New York. We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii, but cannot ship outside of the 50 United States.

Street Address Required
We cannot not ship to P.O boxes, APO's or FPO's as UPS requires a numerical street address for all deliveries.

Saturday/Sunday are not Standard delivery days
UPS delivers on Monday through Friday. We can arrange for a Saturday delivery for an additional fee - please call us at 516 889 4101 to confirm that Saturday delivery is available for the address requested.  UPS delivers from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Typically they will deliver to businesses first, and then to residential addresses.

Signature Required?
Residential addresses typically do not require a signature and if left, UPS drivers are instructed to leave packages �out of sight & out of weather�. HOWEVER, if there is no one there to accept the package, and the UPS driver does not feel comfortable leaving
it for ANY reason, s/he is NOT required to leave the package.

Business addresses do require a signature, but not necessarily from the recipient whose name is on the box. Anyone in the building is able to sign for the package. Please be sure to include the company name and floor/suite number if you are sending to an office building.

*Important note on apartments: When delivering to apartment buildings, UPS drivers typically do not leave packages without signature unless there is a concierge, a mail room or a building manager available to sign on behalf of the recipient. Typing �please leave without signature� as part of the shipping address does not guarantee that the package will be released without signature. Please be sure to include the apartment number � delivery will be delayed without this address information.

Three Delivery Attempts
Following each delivery attempt, UPS will leave a note on the door following each delivery attempt. UPS will make three delivery attempts before returning the package to Send Them Cookies.

Tracking your Order
To track your package, simply log in to your Send Them Cookies account and select, "Check on my order Status/History" and then select "Track Order" to view your package progress through UPS. If you have questions, do not hesitate to call us - have your order number ready and we'll track your package for you! Phone 516 889 4101.

Return / Refund Policy
As our products are perishable, all food sales are final. Send Them Cookies will be happy to replace any item(s) in the unlikely event that they might be damaged or spoiled during transit, or to refund you the full amount of your purchase. To make sure that you are satisfied with the product you receive, please inspect the contents as soon as your order arrives. Send Them Cookies is not responsible for damage or loss as a result of shipments being returned to the freight location or being undeliverable as a result of incorrect address information you supply to us, or for inability of a recipient to receive the package on the day you specify that it should be delivered. We wish we could assure proper handling and prompt receipt of packages once they have been delivered to the correct mailing address by the third party carrier (UPS, FedEx or USPS), but this, of course, is out of our control. To enjoy the full flavor and freshness of our products, we urge you to make the necessary arrangements beforehand. Shipping/handling charges are not refundable. Refunds will be issued by check to the billing address supplies.
